Abstract: This research investigates the impact of project management software on project success, with objectives to: 1) assess the effectiveness of different project management software, 2) evaluate the impact of software usage on project outcomes, and 3) recommend strategies for optimizing the use of project management software. A survey design was chosen to collect data from project managers and team members. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the tech industry in Lagos, where project management software is widely used. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Findings revealed that project management software, such as Microsoft Project and Asana, significantly improves project tracking, collaboration, and overall success. Recommendations include investing in comprehensive software training, integrating software tools with other project management processes, and ensuring regular updates and maintenance of software tools.
